Jemena Recognised As Top Workplace To Give Back

For the third year running, Jemena is proud to be announced as one of Australia’s Top 40 Best Workplaces to Give Back.

Sponsored by Good Company, the annual awards recognise Australian companies who, together with their people, are making a real difference in the community through championing initiatives such as staff giving and volunteering, donations, fundraising, sponsorships, and other ‘social good’ activities.

In 2022, Jemena’s inclusion recognises the positive impact of our business’ ongoing community programs, support for customers struggling with rising cost of living pressures, and also the incredible generosity of our people and their efforts to help ‘give back’. Highlights include:

• Celebrating the national accreditation of our Pipeline to Success Program, which is supporting greater work opportunities for disadvantaged Aboriginal jobseekers across northern Australia
• Partnering with like-minded community organisations to deliver programs that enhance energy literacy and advocacy for our culturally and linguistically diverse community members and offer direct energy bill and efficiency support for people struggling with cost of living pressures
• Supporting local grassroots groups to make a positive and lasting difference in their, and our, local communities through delivering our largest round of annual community grants to date
• Encouraging greater diversity and inclusion in our workplaces and communities by becoming a certified Family Inclusive Workplace, Supply Nation member, and recognising a host of important dates including International Women’s Day, NAIDOC Week, Wear It Purple Day and many more.
• Promoting various employee blood donation and fundraising drives, as well as providing donations to 23+ local community organisations, sports clubs, emergency services and other causes our people support outside of work through staff volunteering programs.
• Ensuring we’re there for our communities when they need us most, through donating to local State Emergency Services (SES) flood response efforts and children’s hospital appeals.
