18 August 2022A key driver for the Jemena team is ensuring our network is ready for the transition to net-zero emissions. And we’re also supporting our customers on their journeys to net-zero too.
Jemena Key Accounts Manager Brad Gee plays an important role in this space. He supports Jemena customers who are major users of gas as they position their businesses for success in a renewable energy future.
“We have a broad variety of gas customers, from universities to large manufacturers, all needing energy, and all who have unique drivers and requirements.
“I like learning what our customers do. My role is to understand their needs and help them find energy solutions to enable their continued growth and success,” he said.
Brad, who has been working in the energy sector for more than 20 years and started with Jemena 14 years ago, said there is never a dull moment in his current role.
“I really enjoy working as part of this team with a broad mix of people who have worked together for a long time and I also really enjoy engaging with our customers. I see my role as an integral link between our customers and what is happening in the field.
“From a gas network point of view, we’re a 24/7 business. Our field workforce play an incredibly important role in ensuring that our customers have the reliable gas supply they need to run their operations, but also important is the engagement and support if any issues arise, which is where my team come in,” he said.
Brad said Jemena is continuing to innovate across its gas network, with decarbonisation and facilitating the adoption of renewable gas being key focus areas for the business.
“We are actively engaging in the transition to renewable energy and our customers are interested in what we’re doing as they work towards their own net-zero futures. We’re focused on helping our customers meet their renewable energy goals and see these long-term partnerships as really important for both our large customers and our business.
“At the end of the day, we’re a gas distribution network and getting people the energy they need is important work. My kids say, ‘it’s just gas Dad’, but I enjoy it!”
