We're proud to partner with Saltbush Social Enterprises to support their Foundation to Future initiative which supports Indigenous independence through an holistic job-readiness service.
Foundation to Future works with people to build on their strengths through an individually tailored journey, whether that’s initially helping with personal development and basic employability skills, through to helping people obtain the documentation they need for employment, to more intensive mentoring and personal support and matching people with opportunities in businesses.
There are many simple things you can do to save energy and money in your home.
To help support our electricty customers in Victoria and our gas customers in NSW struggling with electricity bills, we have partnered with community services organisation Uniting Vic.Tas, on Uniting Energy Assist, a program offering free, over-the-phone home energy appointments for Jemena customers.
Delivered by Uniting’s team of energy experts, appointments can help you better understand your bills, check you are receiving all available concessions and discounts, learn simple tips to cut your energy use, and much more. All calls are completely confidential and available in your preferred language.
When it comes to explaining energy, sometimes it's better when we work together. Partnering with community and industry we have developed the Voices for Power ‘Train the Trainer’ Project, a first of its kind energy literacy program for culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) customers across Greater Sydney.
A joint initiative between Jemena, Energy Australia, Endeavour Energy and civil society coalition Sydney Alliance, the project is equipping leaders from across cultural and religious communities to become energy experts and advocates for their own communities by delivering a series of “train the trainer” style energy education workshops.
This program launched in 2021 and will continue in 2025.
Reflecting the diversity and breadth of the communities we operate in, we’re proud to have ongoing relationships with a number of community organisations, including the Capricorn Helicopter Rescue Service and the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
