My Portal

A Better Way to Connect

What's happening?

On 25 November 2024 we’ll be replacing our Connect and Manage My Gas and Electricity Outlook portals with a single one called My Portal.

We’re committed to continually creating better experiences for our customers - that’s why we’re building a new portal designed to make it easier for customers to connect with us. We’re busy improving our processes at the same time.

We’ll regularly update this page with new information about what’s happening and how to prepare for the change in the lead up to the My Portal launch.

What do I need to do to prepare for the change?

Right now, you don’t need to do anything. On 25 November 2024, you’ll need to go to the new portal and register again.

If you have an active connection application, you’ll still be able to track it in My Portal.

How will the changes affect me as a plumber or gas fitter?

Before 25 November

  • Leak Test Certificates can be submitted in paper form or via email, but this process will be completely digitised for new connections.
  • If you have an active application lodged prior to 25 November 2024, we’ll continue to accept Leak Test Notices via email at compliancenc@jemena.com.au.
  • Leak Test Notices can be provided by a third party.
  • Leak Test Notices can be provided to Zinfra or any of our subcontractors.

After 25 November

  • Leak Test Certificates are being rebranded as Leak Test Notices.
  • The new Leak Test Notice will be pre-populated with information provided in your My Portal application, including plumber’s licence details and site address, and will be submitted online.
  • For any applications made after 25 November 2024, we won’t accept Leak Test Notices via email.
  • Leak Test Notices must be provided by a licenced plumber or gas fitter. We won’t accept notifications from a third party.
  • We won’t accept any Leak Test Notices provided to Zinfra or any of our subcontractors. All paperwork must be uploaded via My Portal.

What do the portal changes mean for builders?

If you currently raise your connections requests via a retailer, there will be no change to the current process.

Before 25 November

  • Site Ready Photos for applications submitted before 25 November 2024 will continue to be accepted via email at siteready@jemena.com.au.
  • Site Ready Photos provided to Zinfra or any of our subcontractors will continue to be accepted before 25 November.

After 25 November

  • You can continue to provide Site Ready Photos and Leak Test Notices directly to your retailer, who will provide these to Jemena via My Portal.
  • Site Ready Photos for applications submitted after 25 November 2024 will need to be submitted via My Portal or your preferred retailer. We will no longer accept these via email.
  • From 25 November 2024, we’ll no longer accept any Site Ready Photos provided to Zinfra or any of our subcontractors. These will need to be submitted via My Portal or to your preferred retailer.
  • From 28 February 2025, the siteready@jemena.com.au mailbox will no longer be active and Site Ready Photos will need to be submitted via My Portal.
