New Estates

A New Estate refers to a greenfield site that is being subdivided for residential development. The landowner may wish to have the area supplied with gas infrastructure before the development begins.

What does a New Estate application cover?

A New Estate is required when the landowner would like to have the gas mains laid in the public roads. The New Estate application does not cover individual connections to homes within the estate. Applications for individual homes would need to be raised via the portal once the reticulation of the gas has been completed. Find out more for new individual gas connections.

Standard

This typically involves subdivisions where all gas reticulation occurs within the subdivision boundaries.

Non-Standard

If external infrastructure is required, additional field evaluations and cost assessments may be necessary, which could extend the timeline.
