Our Networks, Pipelines & Projects

Jemena owns and operates a diverse portfolio of energy assets across northern Australia and Australia's east coast. With more than $12.4 billion worth of major utility infrastructure, we supply millions of households and businesses with essential services every day.

Jemena Electricity Network

Our electricity network distributes power to over 370,000 customers and businesses across a 950 square kilometre area in north-west greater Melbourne, via approximately 6,800 km of poles and wires.

Jemena Gas Network

Established in 1837, our 25,000km gas network delivers gas to more than 1.5 million homes, businesses and industrial customers across Sydney and greater New South Wales.

Gas Pipelines

We own and operate some of Australia’s most important gas transmission pipelines. Our experience and expertise has earned us a reputation as a leader in building and operating major gas supply assets across eastern and northern Australia.

Our Gas Pipelines

Queensland Gas Pipeline

Our 627km pipeline delivers gas from the Surat/Cooper Basin to the Gladstone and Rockhampton markets.

Eastern Gas Pipeline

Our 797km pipeline delivers gas from Victoria’s Gippsland Basin to Sydney, the ACT and regional New South Wales.

Northern Gas Pipeline

Our 622 km pipeline connects the Tennant Creek in the Northern Territory to Mount Isa in Queensland, transporting gas from Northern Territory’s conventional gas resources to eastern Australian consumers.

VicHub

Our pipeline interconnect enables gas to flow between the Eastern and Tasmanian Gas Pipelines as well as the Victorian gas transmission network.

Colongra Gas Transmission and Storage Facility

Our pipeline and compressor station transports and stores gas for Delta Electricity’s 667MW gas fired peaking generator.

Atlas Gas Processing Facility and Pipeline

Transports gas from Senex Energy’s Atlas gas acreage - located near Wandoan in south-west Queensland - to the east-coast gas market.

Darling Downs Pipeline

The DDP consists of three interconnected gas transmission pipeline licences in the Darling Downs region in South-East Queensland that operate as a single pipeline network. It links the Wallumbilla gas hub near Roma with the Talinga gas plant near Chinchilla and Origin’s Darling Downs gas fired power station near Dalby in Queensland.

Roma North Gas Processing Facility and Pipeline

The gas processing facility and pipeline is located in south-west Queensland and is capable of transporting up to 16 Terajoules per day with a potential future expansion of up to 24TJ/d.
