Goulburn Remediation project open to the public
The past week has been a hive of activity at Jemena’s Goulburn Remediation project site, with the hosting of visitors from the local Mulwaree Goulburn Council, neighbours from the local community at an Open Day, and a group of some 40 guests from across the Sydney region.
The events were an opportunity to showcase works completed to date and walk through the site, including the large ‘tent structure’.
The project, to remediate impacts from the historical gasworks use of the site, commenced in late 2018 and is on track, weather permitting, to be completed by the end of this year.
Jemena’s Program Manager - Remediation, Oliver King praised the efforts of the team in bringing these successful events together:
“Huge thanks to Jarrod Irving, Phil Hutson, Michael Moroney, and especially Barbara Ferry-Smith as well as the teams behind the scenes from Enviropacific Services and Divall’s Contracting who worked hard in the days prior to ensure the site presented well, following a significant rain event.”
