Since its beginnings in 1837 the Jemena Gas Network¹ in New South Wales has grown through a combination of extensions, new developments and acquisitions to service most major population centres in the State.

As at 31 March 2009, the network provides gas to approximately one million customers across Sydney, Newcastle, Wollongong and over 20 country centres. The network distributes natural gas produced in the Cooper Basin and Bass Strait.
