Gas outages and emergency information

We always strive to fix any supply interruptions as quickly as possible

Jemena is responsible for providing a safe and reliable gas supply via the Jemena Gas Network (New South Wales) and MultiNet Gas (Victoria).

Unplanned interruptions

Your gas supply may be interrupted through an unplanned, interruption or emergency. If you experience an interruption to your gas supply, which we haven't given you prior notification of, contact:

• Your gas retailer – please refer to your latest bill for contact details
• Jemena Gas Network – 131 909
• Multinet Gas – 132 691

The inherent nature of gas reliability can be affected by a number of factors beyond our control. These can include:

• Extreme weather conditions – storms, floods, extreme heat
• Interference – cars colliding with gas infrastructure, vandalism
• Third party civil works damaging lines

On rare occasions these may cause problems to your gas supply.

Planned interruptions

Planned outages are undertaken to perform upgrades to the network infrastructure.

As we continue to improve the reliability of the network our aim is to interrupt to your gas supply as little possible. If we are conducting planned maintenance work in your area, we aim to inform you in advance of any time that we may need to interrupt your gas supply.
