You want to connect to electricity for the first time or change supply or meter location for a:

  • Residential home
  • Multi-tenancy residential and / or commercial premises
  • Small commercial premises
  • Large commercial or industrial premises

Or, you need a temporary builder’s supply (for works lasting < 12 months)

What’s involved?

Once we have your completed application we’ll make you an offer outlining charges and the works we’ll perform. If you accept, we'll work with you to complete the works at an agreed time.

How long will it take?

  • Up to 65 business days to provide you with an offer after receiving a completed application
  • If you accept the contract we'll work with you to complete the works at an agreed time which reflects the complexity of the works.

What information do I need to provide?

  • Amount of electricity required
    • Premises type (residential, commercial, industrial)
    • Number of lots (single / multiple premises)
    • Nature of business (e.g. school, supermarket)
    • Estimated maximum demand (in kVA or amps, in accordance with AS3000)
  • Details of property requiring electricity
    • Lot / street no., road name, suburb
    • Property sketch / site plan showing where you want your electricity supply point and any obstructions.
    • Location of substation on site or nearby (if applicable)
  • If already on supply provide meter number and NMI number (if applicable)
  • Dates for:
    • Your expected construction period (start and end)
    • Preferred electricity supply date
    • Builders temporary supply period

    • Estimated maximum (in kVA or amps, in accordance with AS3000)
  • Dates for:
    • Your expected construction period (start / end)
    • Preferred electricity supply date

You want to connect an electricity generator to the distribution network which will not have direct access to the transmission network. 

Types of embedded generation include but are not limited to large scale solar photo-voltaic, diesel generators, wind farms and batteries.

    • Fault level and power quality analysis
  • Testing and commissioning program

  • Address/location of requested relocation (Lot / street no., road name, suburb)
  • Reason for customer to request the works
  • Description of works required.
  • Site sketch / overall site plan showing where you would like the asset relocated to
  • Building layout plan, crossovers or development elevation plans if related to building clearance request.
  • Land title information (if applicable)
  • Photos (if available)
  • No-go zone report (if available)
