Jemena’s vision is to be the leading service provider, owner and developer of utility infrastructure in Australia. Jemena has developed and implemented a business strategy with a focus on three key areas set out below.
i. leveraging the asset management, engineering and field services offerings across the full set of contracts and customers and in doing so optimising the cost base;
ii. continuing to refine the cost base and achieving sound operational efficiency;
iii. identifying and leveraging the most effective processes, systems and approaches from best performing operating functions into the broader Jemena business operations; and
iv. taking advantage of synergy opportunities with SP group and SP AusNet
i. expanding the gas transmission assets to meet underwritten demand;
ii. increasing the value of Jemena’s regulated asset base, for example by delivering the AMI program and proactively marketing new customer connections for JGN; and
iii. investing in commercially sound opportunities to augment existing assets and building new assets within Jemena’s areas of expertise, growing both its investments and its asset management businesses.
i. taking advantage of the increased market demand for asset management, engineering, project management and field services skills. This will be achieved by increasingly leveraging and building the skills that Jemena has in house into the external market;
ii. continuously reviewing and adjusting the operational structure to optimise alignment with opportunities as they arise; and
iii. recycling capital from Jemena’s current asset base to invest in the development of new assets that can provide a higher return on investment and generate asset management, construction, operation and maintenance revenue.
