Our graduate development program

The program runs over a minimum of two years and provides opportunities to work in a range of areas in Jemena. Typically a graduate will rotate through three or four positions ranging from six to eight months duration. Graduates may have the opportunity to work at different sites and also travel locally or interstate to other Jemena sites as part of their development plans.

We support our graduates by providing vital training

Graduates are given a thorough induction on their commencement with the company. Our program also includes

  • Technical training and skill development
  • On the job training
  • Support from colleagues, managers, mentors, HR and the existing graduates
  • Support to gain formal accreditation through the relevant professional industry bodies

Graduates may also have the opportunity to undertake training through external providers either at a Jemena site or travel locally or interstate to undertake training.

What happens at the completion of the program

At the completion of the program graduates have the ability to steer their careers and work in areas of interest.

Engineering graduates will be recruited into permanent positions and depending on their development needs, they will gain experience through placements in key areas of the business. Their development needs will be determined through consultation with the graduate, their mentor, their business unit and the Engineering Professional Development Program Steering committee.
