Statement on Gladstone Park Outage

Jemena confirms approximately 33 homes in the Melbourne suburb of Gladstone Park remain without electricity this afternoon following an electrical incident at approximately 20:30, Thursday, 11 January 2018. As a result of this incident, a number of customers may be unable to use some electrical appliances in their homes.

Jemena personnel have attended homes impacted by the incident throughout Friday to reconnect electricity supply and provide customers with advice in relation to replacing any appliances impacted by the incident.

Jemena is endeavouring to contact all customers impacted by the outage.

Customers who have not been contacted are encouraged to call Jemena directly on 131 626.  

We sincerely apologise for any distress caused as a result of this outage and thank our customers in Gladstone Park for their patience.

Jemena anticipates customers who are currently without electricity will be reconnected by 20:00, Friday, 12 January 2018.  

Ninety-nine homes were impacted by the outage.  

The cause of the incident is currently under investigation.
