At Jemena, safety is our number one priority
We are committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our employees, contractors and members of the public. This obligation and commitment extends to ensuring that our operations do not place the local community at risk of injury, illness or property damage. It is a requirement that all employees, contractors and visitors comply with the requirements of the health and safety policy and our management standards at all times.

- Management and supervisors provide visible leadership, adequate resources, and ensure workplace standards are implemented and maintained

Occupational health and safety legislation
Injury management
In the event of work related injury or illness to our employees, Jemena will take action to ensure that injury management commences as soon as possible. Jemena is committed to ensuring that early return to work of injured or ill employees is a normal practice and expectation.
Jemena will provide suitable restricted or alternative duties for injured or ill employees. The duties provided will be consistent with the medical advice and will be meaningful, productive and appropriate for the injured employee with regard to the impact of their injury or illness and their recovery.
Health & wellbeing
Our health & wellness program, ‘Health4Life’, aims to educate and empower all employees to make healthy lifestyle choices. We believe good health can offer immense benefits to both individuals and the business. Individuals benefit from reduced frequency and/or severity of illness as well as an increased feeling of vitality, both of which can lead to an improved quality of life. Jemena benefits from a healthy and more productive workforce.
The program is reviewed and modified from year to year however will always focus on making the program accessible and relevant to all employees. Some initiatives included in the program include:
